Win Christmas 2011! 

In a unique joint promotion, visitors to the city centre were given the chance to win their best ever Christmas and enjoy a shopping trip of a lifetime with fantastic prizes worth £5,000 and £1,000 in cash to spend in the city centre.

The ‘Win Christmas’ promotion, put together by retailers, businesses, partners and the City Council, has been won by 26-year-old Matthew Lockley from Parkfields, Wolverhampton.  Ex-Wolves and England Footballer Steve Bull (pictured right) made the prize draw on Tuesday 6th December and Matthew will be presented with his fantastic array of prizes shortly.  In total the competition attracted a massive 4,738 entries which has been celebrated by organisers as a huge success.

Head of Wolverhampton Partnership Heather Ernstons said: “This competition has really caught the imagination of people; it has bought people into Wolverhampton to shop, eat and enjoy the entertainment, reminding people that everything they need is right here in Wolverhampton city centre.  It shows what businesses, retailers and the council can do by working together and supporting each other.  We would like to thank everyone for making it a great success.  There is still time to enjoy late night shopping and free car parking.”
